Tarnished Brand

I'm a proud liberal and for a long time I have been a big fan of Bill Clinton and in many respects Hillary Clinton. It was in fact the memory of how well the country was run under President Clinton (aside from the personal distractions, which I don't think are relative), that helped me try to struggle through the nightmare-ish presidency of George Bush.

That was then this is now...

The vitriol and politics as usual that has been displayed by Hillary, Bill and their whole team has diminished them in my eyes by an exponential amount. I choke as a say this but I am actually beginning to understand (just a little) what it must be like to view them through the eyes of a Republican. cough cough ackk It's a hard pill to swallow but they have been such ungracious losers that I don't think I can ever forget it.

I have been told by many (ie. everyone I know) that we must support Hillary even if she somehow steals this nomination or shows up again down the road say in 2012. But I say NO, I will not take the lesser of two evils anymore because that is to accept the party at its worst and not to demand it at its best. I will not support her now or in the future, I want to take back the Democratic party from those that would make it nothing more than "Republican Light".

It seems that the nomination has been clinched by Barrack Obama, but Hillary and the Clinton brand have not only lost the nomination, the Democratic party has left them behind like yesterdays sad news.

good riddance.
